Position: Property Salvage & Subro Representative
Reports To: VP Claims

Overall Purpose and Main Objectives: To handle Subrogation and Salvage activities for the Company, maximizing recoveries.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Determines extent of investigation required for subrogation
* Advises management on subrogation potential and investigation
* Negotiates settlements with other insurance companies representatives by telephone or correspondence
* Makes claims against responsible parties or their insurance carriers
* Places cases into arbitration
* Assigns, monitors, and closes all subrogation files sent to attorneys for litigation
* Meets yearly subrogation goals
* Meets acceptable file audit results
* Maintains up-to-date diary of assigned files
* Works with Salvage Vendors on auto or other property salvages to maximize recoveries
* Prepares monthly report of activities
* Reviews subrogation and salvage procedures and recommends changes where necessary
* Performs projects as assigned
* Participates in arbitration
Required Knowledge and Experience: * Knowledge of Insurance Coverage (P&C)
* Knowledge of Tort and Contractual Liability
* College Degree or Work Equivalent
* 3+ Years' Experience as a Claims Analyst
* 3 - 5 years related property experience
* Ability to Deal with Public
* Ability to Make and Sustain Decisions
* Oral and Written Communication Skills
