Position:	Product Manager - CL

Overall Purpose and Main Objectives:	This position is responsible for research, development and on-going management of underwriting, coverage, pricing and other product issues relating to one of more specialty and/or core programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:	* Chairs the Program Management Team to ensure that identified product issues are researched and resolved. * Researches market segments to determine coverage and exposure issues, analyses competitor products, and communicates regularly with field Underwriting, Sales and Marketing, and Loss control through training sessions and written communications. * Sets underwriting policy and strategic approach. * Designs and implements coverage forms, underwriting guidelines, underwriting manuals and other materials necessary to enter new market segments and respond to requests for changes from the field. * Researches laws and regulations pertaining to product lines to ensure field compliance and makes filings in compliance with requirements. * Performs periodic audits of risks written and reviews renewals to ensure conformity with underwriting standards and changes needed. * Works with IT to develop systems specifications for product implementation.
Required Knowledge and Experience:	* Bachelors Degree plus advanced degree or equivalent business experience * 10 + Years of Commercial Lines property/casualty underwriting experience * Strong experience with Project and Product Management * Excellent analytical skills * Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills * Sound knowledge Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * CPCU designation desired
