Position: Predictive Senior Modeler

Overall Purpose and Main Objectives: This position is responsible for the development of predictive models designed to identify organizational opportunities with respect to growth and profitability.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Develops predictive models and performs analysis to enhance strategic and tactical decision making with respect to profit and growth goals.
* Actively participate in defining project scope and objectives.
* Utilizes appropriate software programming tools to produce meaningful statistical reports relevant to ratemaking and reserving practices as well as underwriting and claim benchmarks.
* Identify and utilize data mining techniques to analyze the needs of our policyholders to more effectively obtain profitable, new business and retain profitable, existing accounts.
* Partner with business unit managers to retrieve, gather and convey vital information to complete projects.
* Works with external consultant to enhance expertise in the application of statistical theory and predictive modeling.
Required Knowledge and Experience: * Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in statistics, actuarial science, mathematics or related field
* 2-5 years of data mining and predictive modeling experience
* Advanced expertise of tools for data mining and statistics (GLM, decision trees, neutral networks)
* Strong ability to problem solve
* Strong communicate skills oral and written
